The bride and groom have many things in common. One is that they had already given their hearts to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. They share so many beliefs that it was unlikely that they would meet outside of their own respective churches. They made the decision to put God first in the marriage they’ve decided to pursue. Another thing they share is something even they would agree that they would rather have met without this commonality. They both have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis years ago, and by chance, through a group on a social media website, each decided the other seemed worth pursuing. They ended up exchanging phone numbers, and eventually meeting in person, each traveling to the part of the country where the other lived.
Daniel and Hallie seemed to be coming across the same book, chapter, and verse in their bibles with such frequency that it seemed clear to both that it was hardly a coincidence. Hallie found a stone with this scripture on it and sent it to Daniel. While the stone was on it’s way through the postal system, Daniel decided to post an image that had the appearance of stone with the very same scripture printed on it. Anybody else get goosebumps yet? If not, the scripture that seemed to pop up everywhere they looked may do the trick. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV. And of course, they both believed that the Lord was trying to tell them something. Luckily they didn’t ignore this scripture and the frequency with which it would be put before them.
Hallie traveled to Daniel’s home and spent time before, during, and after Independence Day. Hallie had learned by that time how important that holiday was for Daniel, a Veteran, Patriot, and serious history buff. On Independence Day, Daniel and Hallie traveled to a nearby town where they have Rodeo, BBQ, and Fireworks. Both had a great time. So it may well have been cruel, but the evening before Hallie had to catch her return flight, Daniel took her out to a very nice dinner at “Rib Crib™️” and as they were going to the car, Daniel presented Hallie with a 1.3carat heart shaped diamond engagement ring, set in white gold, and asked if she would be his wife. When Daniel learned of the difficulty Hallie then had going home, he may have felt bad. That didn’t dampen his excitement though, after all, SHE SAID YES!!!
