Six months after meeting, Elizabeth prayed at a silent retreat, listening for any inkling from God. She received one. "Reach out to Dan Mirolli." "I'm on a silent retreat, Lord! I'm not supposed to be on my phone." "Reach out to Dan Mirolli." "I don't even have his number! What do I say?" "Say anything." Thus began the friendship that would change our lives. We became friends without pretense or posturing. Fully honest, fully open, fully ourselves. Everyone in our lives saw the potential but us...even when we stood opposite each other as Maid of Honor and Best Man. Fifteen months after we first met, and nine months of talking every day, something changed. A peaceful, exciting, calm, thrilling, and adventurous love has taken root in our hearts; more refreshing, wild, and deeper than we thought possible outside of our shared love for Jesus. We are so glad we waited, so glad we never settled, so happy neither of us truly saw the other until we'd built a base of friendship, and so thrilled to invite you to celebrate the love story God is writing. It feels fitting that we should step into the Sacrament of Marriage in the Eternal City of Rome. For those able to attend, we invite you to join us in celebrating God's gift to humanity; marriage. For everyone else, we ask that you pray for our union as we pursue Christ and the vision He has charged us with, together. In Faith, Hope, and Love, Daniel Donato Mirolli & Elizabeth Rae Frantti
