Daniel and Elizabeth's love story started on Hinge, a dating app, on August 1st, 2023. They discovered they had so much in common and Daniel was happy to learn that Elizabeth checked off some of his deal breakers - of which being a coffee drinker was a must! After two and half weeks of constant messaging, they finally went on a first date for breakfast. At the time, Daniel was not aware that Elizabeth is NOT a morning person, but she liked him so much just from the text conversation (excusing the grammatical errors) that she agreed to meet him at 9am on a Saturday! Even though they set a second date for the following week, Elizabeth asked to see him sooner because she felt that was too long to wait to see him again. One month later they officially became a couple after enduring a difficult week apart while she was on a family vacation. A month after that, in October, they professed their love for each other. The following few months were a whirlwind of dates, deep conversations, meeting friends and family, going to each other's churches, and spending the holidays together. They both knew this was a special relationship that was heading towards marriage. In January, Elizabeth insisted on visiting a ring store not knowing that Daniel had already designed an engagement ring. After only tweaking two things, the color and the diamond shape, it then became a waiting game for Daniel since she had stipulated that he couldn't propose before six months. On April 8th, they went to see the solar eclipse in totality in Erie, PA. Daniel knew this would be the perfect time to propose. After the spectacular astrological event, he convinced her to walk on the rocks by the water under the guise of taking pictures. The waiting was finally over, he got down on one knee, and proposed. To no one's surprise, SHE SAID YES!
