We started out as mutual friends our freshman year of college in 2019 at Virginia State University. COVID happened so we had to leave the campus and while being at home, we only communicated once. Fast forward to 2022, we were back on campus and we became close. At the time, Daniel was living in Maryland and I was here in Virginia, but we made efforts to communicate when we could. I ended up transferring schools in summer of 2023 and he was in his last semester of college . On Thanksgiving day, I was in Maryland with my family and he surprised me by coming to where I was and asked me to be his girlfriend. My sister was the only one that knew. Ever since then, we have encountered many things together during the dating phase, but we knew that we were meant for each other so we were going to fight through it with God's help. Fast forward to Thanksgiving 2025, at his family's house, proposed to me and it was an absolute shocker to me ! Now we are on the road to marriage. We have been through so much together but we were definitely determined to fight through it which is why we are still standing. It wasn't easy at all none less but we have had so much support from family and friends. We are definitely excited to finally become one in the eyes of God and we are excited for the future ! #thewashingtons
