The week before our 40th class reunion, at the last reunion committee meeting, everyone was talking about how "Danny" Estelle was coming a couple of days early to hike and play golf. Donna thought, "I want to hike with this fun person", but that didn't happen. The reunion was great, and we all danced the night away. Afterward, Daniel made the effort to talk to Donna a little, especially because they never knew each other in high school! After a couple of months of socializing with classmates on Facebook, Donna and Daniel struck up a couple of conversations, especially after he posted his Christmas sock of the day, "Single and ready to Jingle" - those socks have since been given to Rocky, our dog, to play with. Thank goodness Donna wanted a new car! Donna looked all over the country for a used Outback that met her specifications. With only five cars available, the closest place, was... Washington! Donna took a chance, and flew out to the Portland area, and drove across the state to visit a classmate. After a couple days of sightseeing as friends, and spending a lovely evening at a winery, Donna announced she had to leave since it was a Sunday, and Daniel was preparing to go to church. He asked if she would come with him, and they held hands during service. Afterward, they walked along the riverfront, then went home to walk Rocky. As they held hands so as not to slip on the ice, Rocky ran around them and tied them together with his leash prompting their first kiss. The rest of the story will be our history!
