We met in the summer of 2014 when we worked at nearby restaurants in downtown Cincinnati. We started by trading sandwiches for frozen yogurt, then eventually phone numbers, and the rest was history.

It is a yearly tradition to attend Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo with family. That year Dan's brother, Brad, and his now wife, Julie, were in town for the holidays. What seemed like a normal trip to the zoo, turned into the most surreal, magical evening. As we were taking our family pictures in front of the Christmas tree, Dan got down on one knee. Not only was the proposal a huge surprise, but Dan had also arranged for our entire family and close friends to be there for the special moment. It was definitely a night to remember!
