How far is Belle Isle Castle from the Dublin airport?

Answer

Belle Isle is a 2 hour drive from Dublin. Depending on when your flight arrives, we recommend exploring Dublin and the towns along the way.

When is check-in and check-out

Answer

Check-in is at 3 pm on the 20th, we ask that you arrive before dinner at 6 pm. Check out is at 10 am on the 22nd.

Is there anything planned before the wedding on the 21st?

Answer

There are no formal plans, but guests have the option to take the boat out and fish (just remember to buy a fishing license beforehand), walk the trails on property, kayak, or explore the local town. We ask that everyone returns to the castle by 1 pm to get ready and for photos.

When can I book my flight?

Answer

Most airlines will allow booking up to 11 months in advance. Be on the lookout for flights starting in August of 2025

Do I need to apply for a Visa?

Answer

A visa is not required, but an ETA is (Electronic Travel Authorization). Please visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta to fill out your ETA. It will cost £10 per person. Note: This is needed for Northern Ireland, where Belle Isle is located, it is not needed while traveling through Ireland. The ETA will be valid for the whole of the UK if you plan on visiting England or Scotland during your trip.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The bar in the castle will be open during dinner on the 20th and during the wedding on the 21st. There will also be wine served with the wedding dinner. Please note that the drinking age is 18!

Will we be able to follow the bride and groom around Ireland?

Answer

Our travel itinerary is on the "Travel" section of our website. You may choose to follow us through Ireland or do your own thing! We are booking with our travel agent, so if you want tours that coincide with ours, our agent will need to book for you. Please reach out to Brittany with any questions!

When can I RSVP?

Answer

We plan on sending formal invitations out in July. We ask that all parties RSVP through our website. The link will go live once we send out the RSVPs!

Can I bring anyone not explicitly invited on the invitation?

Answer

Although we would love to celebrate with everyone in Ireland, we cannot accommodate anyone that is not explicitly invited. If you have any questions on this, please reach out to Brittany.
