I started a new job at the hospital and was assigned to train with Daniel December 28, 2012. I saw this handsome red head and my heart skipped a beat. We spent a 12 hour shift laughing and learning together. The day came to an end and as we were walking to the parking lot I was thinking about going to get Olive Garden soup and he said “ we’re both in our scrubs why don’t we go together?” I called my mom on the way to the restaurant with so much excitement. We enjoyed a great meal and as the night ended we hugged bye and got in our separate cars. Sitting in my seat thinking he didn’t even ask for my number and then he shouted out his window and got my number. Not to long after leaving I received a text “I had a really good time:)” and after that we’ve been together ever since.
We went on a family trip to the Bahamas. One evening we planned on dressing up for a nice dinner and to take pictures on the beach. On Friday we decided to all go to beach for pictures but when we got to the gate the security guard said it was closed at 7 so we weren’t aloud on the beach. Daniel was upset after this and I didn’t get why. So we went back to the house and him and I were talking in mine and Nikki’s room. He kept saying “ I just want this trip perfect for you.” I responded “ I’m having a great time so you need to cheer up because I’m having fun.” The next day comes around and we decide to stay close so we don’t run out of time for pictures. Around 4 Daniel, Katie and I go to the beach to set up the camera in the perfect spot. I’m standing under this big palm try being silly and posing and Daniel sets up the go pro. I asked “ why do you have the go pro for pictures?” He didn’t respond so I kept being silly until he reached in his bag and pulled out a small box! My jaw dropped as he turned towards me, got on one knee, and told me how much he loved me. Right in front of me was the most amazing man, holding the most perfect ring, under the tallest palm, on the prettiest beach I’ve ever seen, and asking me to be his wife. July 21,2018 will be a day I never forget.
