FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire in encouraged! You can expect it to be quite warm in Charleston during May (~80 degrees) when the sun is out and then cool off a bit later in the evening.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

On time! Ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 PM.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this advance notice means you’re able to let your hair down and celebrate with us on the day!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be parking available on the grounds of the venue.

Question

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

Answer

In hopes of keeping everyone on the dance floor all night, we have decided to skip the traditional sit down dinner option for our wedding night. Instead, we have chosen some amazing dinner station options that will be serving food throughout the event- help yourself to a plate, or two, or three!

Question

Where should I book my hotel?

Answer

We have arranged two hotel blocks for our guests. Please see the "Travel" tab on our wedding website for more information. We also encourage everyone to explore different accommodations through Airbnb or VRBO, there are plenty of fun and beautiful options, especially for families and large groups!

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

A shuttle bus will be provided for transportation from the hotels to the wedding venue for guests that are staying at either hotel (Holiday Inn Charleston Riverview and/or Cambria Hotel Charleston Riverview). For those staying elsewhere, there is plenty of parking available at the venue and Charleston is also a very Uber friendly city if you want to let loose and have a few drinks!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We would be offended if you expected anything less. YES, of course!

Question

Anything else I need to know?

Answer

Most importantly, we want everyone to have the best time celebrating our big day with us. Some advice: if you have seasonable allergies, start taking your Claritin leading up to the big day... South Carolina's allergies are no joke!
