The wedding and reception are being held in Sumner, WA, which is about 20 minutes east of Tacoma and about 35 minutes south of the SeaTac Airport. There is a relatively inexpensive motel in Sumner, but there are better options in Puyallup, which is only a few minutes further away from the venue. See the "TRAVEL" tab for a list of hotel options. Unfortunately, public transportation from the airport to the Puyallup/Sumner area isn't great, so we recommend renting a car at the SeaTac airport or scheduling an Uber/Lyft to pick you up when you land.
Yes, they are! How convenient!
The ceremony begins at 3pm, so we recommend you arrive before that!
Public transportation is unfortunately not the most accessible thing to get to the venue. Therefore, we recommend renting a car at the airport so you can get between the airport, your hotel, and the wedding venue easily. This will also allow you to easily explore the area, which is gorgeous! Uber/Lyft will likely not be very reliable as a means of transportation between your hotel and the wedding venue.
Yes! It is ample and free.
While we may draw from aspects of both of our cultural heritages, no, this will not be a religious ceremony.
Appetizers and a buffet dinner will be provided by Act3 Catering. There will be limited vegetarian and vegan options, but the main courses are fish and beef.
Beer and wine will be provided. Cheers!
The wedding ceremony and dinner reception will take place indoors. December in Washington can get cold and wet, so if you plan on exploring the grounds, plan your attire accordingly.
Yes we do! We prefer sharing experiences and making memories over accumulating a lot of stuff, but you can find a few household items we would love to have as newlyweds, or you can contribute to different parts of our honeymoon to Portugal. But truly, your presence at our wedding is gift enough.
