Walnut Beach
When we lived in Connecticut our apartments were accross the street from Walnut Beach, so naturally we would walk down all the time and waste our days away.
The SoNo Collection
If you want to do some shopping, stop by the high end stores at the mall. The real gem is Jacobs Pickles, which is a southern food and fried chicken restaurant thats absolutely out of this world and our top recommendation for a meal.
Sophie's Pizza Bar
Some of our favorite Connecticut style pizza. We recommend the vodka sauce pizza and adding chicken cutlet, its incredible.
Harkness Memorial State Park
A little far but worth the drive if you're in town for a few days. Check it out in our engagement photos in the Gallery!
Orchards Golf Course
We loved to play this short 9 hole course for a nice easy weekend morning. It could be a great way to loosen up for some dancing the night of the wedding!
Walnut Beach Creamery
Bianca and Dan would walk over to the Walnut Beach Creamery an embarrassing amount of times per week to try out different flavors that they blend in house. If they have them available, Bianca's favorite is the S'mores and Dan loves the Bear Hug. They'll also be a featured desert at the wedding!
Sleeping Giant State Park
If you have extra time, go for an easy hike at Sleeping Giant and see some views of the Connecticut valley at the stone castle.
