Question

The invitation says 'Cocktail attire' - but I heard that it is an outdoor wedding, what does that mean?

Answer

It is a little confusing. Cocktail attire for our garden wedding means semi-formal, but comfortable enough to enjoy the outdoors. For women, think knee-length, midi, or maxi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or skirts with a nice top - wedges or block heels are great for grass. For men, a suit or dress pants with a blazer and a tie is perfect (jackets can come off if it's warm). Light , breathable fabrics and spring/summer colors are welcome, but please skip jeans, shorts, or very casual shoes.

Answer

We would prefer no gift! Your presence at our wedding and/or best wishes are our present. We would like nothing more that to celebrate with you on our special day!

If you are interested , we welcome donations to charities in our name. Can I park overnight at the venue?

Answer

No, Alexander Homestead does not permit overnight parking. They will tow any vehicles left overnight. I've read enough reviews to know they aren't kidding.
