Yes. And we would add, rent an SUV. The island is hilly and the roads are not like they are here in the states. An SUV that is raised up higher off the ground does better on the island. Oh and remember that even though St. Croix is a US territory, you still drive on the left side of the road.
We have found that renting houses from AirBnB is the most cost effective way to stay on the island. We have stayed at 3 bedroom homes with a pool for about 200-250/night. Even though the island is only 26 miles long you will still want to rent near the villa. We recommend the areas of: -Cane Bay -North Shore -Judiths Fancy -Any homes near Salt River Bay **Feel free to ask us more specific questions
