What is the plan for the wedding given Covid-19?

Answer

The wedding is happening! One unique feature of our venue is that the ceremony and reception are outdoors on the hotel roof. We are currently working with the Box House Hotel to make sure our safety concerns are met. See below for current NYS guidelines for vaccination and testing prior to the wedding. Face masks and hand sanitizer will be available all through the night at the venue.

Is proof of vaccination or a negative test result required?

Answer

Per updated NYS guidelines, no negative testing or proof of vaccination is required for weddings of our size (~100). We will continue to take all necessary health and safety precautions. We will have face masks and hand sanitizer available for use throughout the evening. We encourage everyone to do what they feel is right in terms of interacting with other guests and wearing face masks.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both will take place on the rooftop of the Box House Hotel in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. There is a retractable roof in case of rain.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes, we have a block of rooms at the Box House Hotel and if you use our wedding code, you get 15% off your room (2 night minimum). You may either call to book by providing the folio number (287856), or book online. When booking online, you must be sure to put "Dimon/Waren Wedding" and the folio number (287856) in the Request/Remarks section so that the hotel can add you to the block and apply the discount when processing the reservation manually. The folio number will not work in the access code/promo code/IATA box. Also, please note that the discount only applies to reservations made in-house and can't be applied to third party bookings.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

The venue is an outdoor rooftop with a retractable roof in case of rain.

What if I don't feel safe coming?

Answer

Totally fine! We want everyone to feel safe and absolutely no hard feelings if you decide to stay home and celebrate from afar.
