Why yes, yes they did. 4 months to be exact. They figured, why not? 2020 has been a rollercoaster thus far, might as well finish it up with a bang!
Well, there were 4 total attendees. 2 of them being the bride and groom. The other 2 were the photographer (Taylor) and the officiant (Brandon). They got married out at McKinney Falls, at sunset. It was 100 degrees but they couldn't have been happier with their micro wedding decision.
Technically, there was no rush. They could have waited, but why? They already made the decision to get married, so they decided to pull the trigger. She always wanted something very small - no big fuss. Doesn't like to be the center of attention. And he was down for the ride.
Gah - no. With the quick wedding and surprise announcement it might seem that way, but no, no babies on the way!
The short answer is no, probably not. IF the world decides to go back to normal one day, they're thinking of throwing a party on their anniversary for friends and family. They'd love to be able to celebrate their love surrounded by their favorite people, one day.
Now it does! But there is a story behind it. He had said since college that he wanted to get married on August 25th. There are exactly 4 months between his birthday (April 25th, the day he proposed) their anniversary (August 25th) and Christmas (December 25th). This makes their OCD-ness extremely happy. She didn't care what date - she just wanted him to remember. This way he has no excuse (he still thinks they met on June 10th - ugh. It was June 7th!).
They are registered, but they do not expect anything from anyone. They just wanted everyone to know the full story! They are ecstatic to have so much support from everyone, near and far, during this time.
Yeah! They've heard changing a name is quite a task, but it's in the works.
They LOVE to travel, and can't wait to celebrate their life together with a full on excursion. Until then, they plan to take the pup on a weekend trip to the beach and enjoy their time together.
