Denver International Airport

Denver International Airport is the largest and cheapest airport to fly into Colorado. Steamboat Springs is a 3hr drive through the Rockies from DIA. The two options to get from DIA to Steamboat is by rental car or Go Alpine Shuttle. If you plan to take a Go Alpine, we suggest booking in advance.

Hayden Regional Airport

Hayden is the small local Steamboat Springs airport located about 40 minutes outside of town. Connections are available from most major airports but can be more expensive. The only way to get from Hayden Airport into Steamboat is by Go Alpine Shuttle. Please be mindful that THERE ARE NO UBERS OR TAXIES AVAILABLE TO GET INTO STEAMBOAT FROM HAYDEN AIRPORT. A Go Alpine must be booked in advance.

We suggest booking through VRBO or Air bnb for a situation that works best for you. The best places to stay are near mountain village or close to downtown Steamboat. There are many condos near the base of the mountain that can be found on these websites, and a few houses close to downtown. A free public bus runs through Steamboat to make getting around town easier.
