It all started with Myspace (As tales from 2007 often do). Actually before Myspace there was Allie, who suggested to a single Bill that he check out a single Daniela on Myspace. Bill, liking what he saw gave Daniela a call. After a night out with mutual friends, Bill was immediately taken with Daniela and Daniela was immediately interested in being friends..... Bill took what he could get at first but knew that eventually he could win Daniela over. Even though their lives took them down different paths at first, they somehow always found their way back to each other.
After about a year of not seeing each other, they reconnected again but this time something was different. Daniela started to see Bill in the same way that Bill always saw her. They spent hours on the phone and spent every second that they could together. From dinner dates, to haunted houses, to the night they had their first kiss, they knew this was something special. They made it official 11-24-11.
After 5 years of dating, 3 Apartments, 1 Fur Baby (Mr.Henry) and a giant leap of faith moving to South Carolina, it was time to take our relationship a step further. The week of the proposal things were not going as planned. The ring showed up late and then Bill took a trip to the emergency room. Two days later, they finally arrived (in one piece) to Asheville. Things were starting to look up... or so they thought. On a trip through the Blue Ridge Parkway Bill lost his glasses and shattered his phone, the only phone with service. Refusing to be sidetracked, Bill was determined to make this proposal perfect. The following day Bill and Daniela set out on a hike at their favorite place, DuPont State Forest. Thinking it would be the coldest day of the week, they made sure to layer. While they were hiking through the forest, Bill was trying to find the perfect setting to pop the question. They came across a sign for a waterfall they had never visited before, Bridal Veil Falls. They made the hike (a very long hike) on what turned out to be the warmest day of the week. Thank God for all of the layers! One hour later and a laundry list of complaints from Daniela, they made it to the falls. They climbed to the very top of the falls and that is where Bill got down on one knee and asked those four magic words, " Will you marry me?" Daniela starting sobbing, lovingly called Bill an "ass" and of course said, YES!
