After matching with each other on a dating app in the summer of 2018 and getting to know each other we knew we had to meet. We quickly connected when finding out we work/worked in the same field. As special education aides we were able to relate and share our love and stories of our students.

We continued to get to know each other and quickly fell in love! In May 2019 we were faced with deployment. It was difficult for both of us but it only made our relationship and love for each other stronger! In December 2019 we were finally at home together as a family of three (including miss Maggie) again.

The proposal happened while heading back to Lufkin after a weekend with the Hirsch family in January 2020. With a ring given from his mother, Jesse was ready to propose. Loaded up with crazy Maggie in the truck, who has high anxiety on road trips, Jesse pulls over when he sees a field filled with cows. Because of Daniela’s love for cows he knew this was the time and place to ask for her hand in marriage. Completely shocked and teary eyed Daniela said yes!
