Unfortunately unless your partner is invited then there is no plus one as we have a limited number of people we could invite :(
Pasto is about 17 Degrees but it gets a bit chilly in the night and rains sporadically. Very similar to a nice summer day in Dublin. Bogota is very similar. I would recommend packing some pants and light jumpers/ jackets. Places by the coast (Cartagena, Tayrona, Santa Marta) are 30 degs so plenty of shorts and t-shirts. The Sun is really strong close to the equator so bring sun cream, hat sunglasses. They'll be a dress code for the Wedding - we will share this in the Wedding Day Tab.
You will need to be more careful in Colombia than most European cities. Bigger cities are less secure (i.e Bogota) but it depends where you are. Try to understand the area you can /can't walk by asking a local/Us/Hotel staff. At night take a taxi unless you know the area is ok. Try using Uber or Taxi ranks rather than hailing cabs on the street. Try not to flash large amounts of cash or expensive jewellery and be careful of pick-pockets. Try to be sensible about using your phone on the street as well. Dont let the above put you off If you dont do anything silly and use common sense you'll be fine in Colombia! Pasto is generally a safe part of Colombia.
We would recommend getting data if you are coming to Colombia. If you are in a group you should be ok as long as one person has data. If your phone is unlocked you will need to go to a network provider (Claro, Tigo, Movistar) register your phone and get a sim. There is a place in the airport in Bogota - its more expensive than the city but its a lot more convenient (~20euros for 15 days). You can also get an eSim if you want data when you land or are travelling to other countries - Holafly was recommended to me. You can also get 30mins free Wifi in Bogota airport.
You will need some cash, but avoid using where possible as it is more expensive than using Revolut/Bank card/Phone. You will need some cash for taxi's and smaller shops. There are ATMs in the airport, Bancolombia or Davienda are usually better but will still charge a fee.
