Our story began in September 2013 at King Street Bar and Grill. We met while both attending the Seahawks/Niners game. After a mutual friend introduced us we found out that we both worked in the same field, Intellectual property! We became acquainted and throughout the years would occasionally hang out in group settings or bump into each other at events. In the Summer of 2016, after not seeing Taryn for months I reached out via social media to see how she was doing. Up until that point we hadn't really had an in depth conversation but after a few texts we quickly found out that we had a lot more in common than just intellectual property. That Summer we went on a couple of dates then started seeing each other every day and realized that we meshed very well and that we shared something special. The rest is history!
We had our baby shower at my mother (Connie's) house on Samish Island, north of Seattle. We invited so many people - I think over 60 friends and family members! For me, it was important to have all of our loved ones in one central place, at one time, to celebrate our new addition to our family - summer bbq style! I should note that the baby shower was also gender revel, so neither Daniel nor I knew if it was going to be a boy or girl! Back track a few months, I told Daniel that if he should propose, he would need to ask my dad for his blessing to marry me. Daniel took what I said to heart, and asked my dad for my hand.... Fast forward again to the baby shower. Once everyone had gathered, ate, drank, and started to mingle. Daniel and I wanted to thank everyone for coming. He grabbed my hand, and he was sweaty and shaking. I thought it was hungry and I told him I'd make him a plate of food after we thanked everyone - quickly! He said a few words and thanked everyone for coming and supporting our growing family, then got down on one knee - and proposed!!!!!!!! I was BLOWN AWAY! Jaw dropped, tears rolling down my cheeks, I couldn't believe he choose me to be his wife for ever! After the proposal, we popped a big balloon and the confetti inside revealed we were going to have a baby girl! Now - FINALLY we are getting married! I couldn't be happier :)
