We had the same circle friends when he moved here, but our paths never crossed. We would go to happy hour with them but never on the same day/time. We didn’t meet within his first 3 years here, until one night our paths finally crossed. Of all the places and times we could have met…. We met on a Friday night at a bar called “Stir”. We were both out with our friends. I almost didn’t go but my girl friends talked me into going out with them. I was sitting at the bar and saw this handsome man walk through the door. Our eyes met and that was it!! He smiled and I smiled. I was too shy so I quickly turned around. He noticed but he came to the bar to order a drink. Then, he casually started talking to me. He was so smooth! We talked and hung out the rest of the night. It was unexpected, but it was the perfect time for our paths to cross. I met the love of my life that night and wouldn’t change a thing.
This year I decided to schedule some "Christmas pictures". We woke up super early to meet our photographer at the Bentonville square for sunrise pictures. All the lights were on at the square and the tree was beautiful. We started pictures at the center by the tree, then walked to the ice rink, and down to the botanical garden. I gave our photographer a nod and as we went to take the last set of pictures. I grabbed Stephany’s hands and told her how much she means to me & that I was tired of dating God’s will and ready to marry her. I got down on my knee and asked her to marry me.
