How We Met

Daniel:

The Lord brought the woman of my dreams into my life on June 1st by way of our online ministries. Right off the bat I noticed we had a bunch of similar beliefs that were most important to me pertaining to the KJV Bible being the inspired, infallible, preserve word of God and how we’re saved by grace through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. We started talking about the state of the world and our stance on things; all of our beliefs checked out. And the fact that she was into guns and memes really drew me in, not to mention she was drop dead gorgeous! That led to us deeper into personal conversation and the more we talked, the more I realized we were the same person. We’ve been talking and face timing every day since then. I knew within the first couple days that Kristina was Heaven sent. So a month later I booked a flight down to Florida to meet her and her family. That first hug I got at the airport I remember thinking, WOW, this can’t be real. I clicked well with her family, she then came up the next month and clicked well with my family and by then, my mind was already made up. I’ve always been told that when you meet your soulmate or the person you will marry that “you’ll just know.” That holds true. October 1st, 4 months to the day we started talking, I asked Kristina to marry me. I never actually believed in soulmates until I met Kristina. She is the most beautiful, smart, funny, traditional, Biblically sound woman I’ve always prayed for since I got saved. She makes me a better man. I can’t wait to start my life and lead her and our future family under the nurture and admonition of the Lord. If you’re still single, wait on the Lord and pray, and become a man of God worthy of a woman like the one God sent me. Outside of my salvation, Kristina is the biggest blessings in my life. God is good and God will provide! What can I say, she had me at KJV.

How We Met

Kristina:

I was praying for my future husband for as long as I can remember. As I approached 30 still single, I began to pray more fervantly than ever for my future husband. The Lord led me to the book of Ruth during that time where I read about a beautiful love story between Ruth and Boaz. God was teaching me during this time to wait on the Lord, but not by sitting around doing nothing, but to do as Ruth did, she was obedient and faithful to do what God had her to do, glean the fields. One day while she was doing just that, she being led by God, happened to end up on the field belonging to Boaz. When Boaz saw her he knew her as a woman of virtue and protected her and eventually married her, picturing a wonderful type of Christ the kinsman redeemer (Boaz) and His bride, the Church (Ruth). In my life I knew that God was telling me to be as Ruth, to be obedient and faithful to do the work He gave me to do, my online ministry, and the right man will happen to cross my path as Boaz, and he would see me as a virtuous woman of God to pursue. For those that don’t know, I have a website and social media accounts where I share the Gospel, teach sound doctrine, promote a biblical lifestyle, and make myself available to help anyone that comes my way the best I can biblically. Daniel has a similar ministry. We were following each other on one of our accounts due to the likeminded posts we would make, but we hadn’t actually spoken to each other until June 1, 2021. Well that’s when God lead me to happen upon my Boaz’s field and we started talking that day and haven’t stopped since! He saw me as that virtuous woman he was praying for, and I saw him as the Godly man I was praying for. The part that blew me away was that around that time Daniel had just made a post about waiting for your Ruth and not settling for a Jezabel, so I took that as a confirmation from God to get to know him.

Well we started to talk and we just both knew right away we had found our future spouse! We realized we were the same person, a male and female version of each other, and it was the start of the most beautiful relationship. We started FaceTiming, watching sermons online, reading the Bible, and falling in love in God’s grace. The next thing I know, we’re flying back and forth to meet each other and our families, got their approvals, then our pastors approvals, and 4 months to the day we met, Daniel asked me to marry him! And here I am now planning my wedding with my best friend and love of my life! I believe the godly man Daniel is today is a product of those prayers I prayed since I was a little girl. God far exceeded everything I ever asked for when He brought him into my life, and I could not be more grateful or excited to marry him and celebrate with all my loved ones on our wedding day!

You Had Me At KJV

The hashtag for our wedding is a play on a common phrase, “you had me at hello”. KJV stands for the King James Version of the Bible, which we believe is God’s only true, inspired, preserved word, without error. This was the main common belief that drew us to each other, so it was only fitting to give God the glory through His word for our wedding by choosing this phrase. Another interesting note here is that the KJV was published in 1611. We picked our wedding date 6/11 to get as close as we could to our anniversary 6/1 on a weekend in 2022 and chose 6/11 which also happens to reflect the KJV, the book that brought us together!
