Garden of the Gods
Take a stroll through Garden of the Gods! This is a great spot to spend an hour or two and just bask in the beauty of these natural, towering rock sculptures.
Seven Bridges Trail
Go for a hike in the lovely Seven Bridges area at Cheyenne Mountain. Waterfalls, streams, and little blue butterflies are waiting for you to discover their beauty on this tree-covered trail.
Paint Mines Interpretive Park
Explore the Paint Mines- your hidden, colorful climbing play land! It's about an hour drive from the Springs, but so worth it! When you arrive, it will look like you came up to a random field, but behold- this pastel paradise is awaiting your adventurous spirit!
Helen Hunt Falls
Explore Helen Hunt Falls for an easy two-hour day hike in the lovely Cheyenne Mountain area. These trails are easy to navigate and will bless you with a beautiful bridged waterfall at the end. Travel to the tippy top of the hike and experience gorgeous views of Colorado Springs. This is an easy hike you won't regret.
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Come experience the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo- truly like the San Diego Zoo, but better!! This zoo zig zags up the side of Cheyenne Mountain and houses some of the world's most exotic animals. You can even take a ski lift and work your way through the continents until you've reached the beginning of the zoo again. We have personally enjoyed petting the wallabies, feeding the giraffes, and visiting with the wildlife of the Australian outback. Come make some of these sweet animals your friends.
The Broadmoor
Take a stroll through the grounds of this historic landmark. Walk through the hotel, over the pond, to the shops, and treat yourself to an upscale meal at one of the Broadmoor's many restaurants. Look up their website, we're telling you, there are so many options!
Ivywild School
Come dine and shop in this historic high school that has been transformed into one of Colorado Springs' hottest dining spots. Eat, drink, and be merry at The Principal's office or Axe and the Oak (two of our personal favorites for good eats and burgers), or browse through a local artisan shop for your perfect Colorado keepsake.
Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar
Lazy Dog, Lazy Dog, oh how we love thee. We have spent most of our special anniversaries at Lazy Dog. Found it to be a sweet, special spot that just felt like us. We have taken a liking to the wait staff, the atmosphere, and of course- their incredible seasonal menu. You will not be disappointed
South Tejon St. Area
PLEASE do yourself a favor and come dine in one of our favorite spots downtown. In one delicious block you can get the best brunch of your life at Denver Biscuit Co. (https://denbisco.com), hop on over to Fat Sully's walk up window for a slice of New York style pizza for lunch (or a very late night snack) (https://fatsullys.com/locations/colorado-springs/), bop on around the corner to Frozen Gold for the craziest soft serve ice cream you've ever had (https://frozen-gold.com), catch a breather by the luxurious fire pits and then eat some tacos for dinner at Dos Santos (https://www.dossantostacos.com), and then treat yourself to something special at Cork and Cask to end the night if you so desire (https://www.corkandcaskdrinks.com). Seriously. Do it. This is one of the hottest spots in town. You'll love yourself for going.
Downtown - Good Eats
Downtown is our favorite area and is chock full of award winning dining experiences! Odyssey Gastropub was one of our first dining loves- eclectic menu and great vibe (https://www.odysseygastropub.com). After dinner, cross the street and hit up Tony's Bar, a Wisconsin and Green Bay Packer themed bar for all you fried cheese curd and pub food lovers on Danica's side of the family (https://www.tonysdowntownbar.com). Feeling fancy? Treat yourself to some fine dining at IV by Brother Luck, a Chopped champion (https://www.fourbybrotherluck.com), or travel underground by way of a subway entrance to The Rabbit Hole to know what Alice experienced in Wonderland (https://www.rabbitholedinner.com). Just want a mouth-watering burger? Stop by The Skirted Heifer (https://www.skirtedheifer.com) or Bingo Burger (https://www.bingoburger.com). And truly, last but not the least by any means, PLEASE go to Josh and Johns- our favorite ice cream place in town (https://www.joshandjohns.com).

Downtown - Shopping
We have some pretty sweet shops Downtown, and if you couldn't tell already, we're pretty proud of where we live. Or maybe you're interested in some of our local artisans? Manitou Springs
Manitou is the perfect summer town! This artsy, historic small town is nestled right in the foothills of the mountain. Walk along the main strip and hit up the Penny Arcade, stop in the shops, grab a bite to eat at one of their many restaurants. Don't forget to stop along the way and read up on Manitou's history. It's healing waters and streams drew people from all over the country during TB outbreaks in the late 1800's. Or was it the covid-19 outbreaks of 2020? We can't remember now- quarantine blurred it all.
Old Colorado City
Come Visit Old Colorado City- Downtown's friendly neighbor. Stroll down the main strip and stop by its small artisan shops, and pick from a wide variety of international cuisines- Spanish, Ethiopian, El Salvadoran and more! Really though, Monse's Pupuseria is the best (https://www.monsestasteofelsalvador.online).
