It was love at first sight, for Xavier at least. After both having just moved back to San Diego, fate brought Dani and Xavier to AMN Healthcare placing them on the same tight-knit team. Right away everyone encouraged them to get together, but the timing just wasn’t quite right for either of them and if there’s one thing Xavier knew it was to always trust the process. So they started as friends, slowly building a foundation of trust and understanding without knowing where it would lead. Nearly a year later, Xavier decided it was time to make his move. He had already tried getting Dani out to watch him play basketball, his usual go-to move, but she had politely declined the invitations. So he tried another route: food. Xavier was always bragging about his cooking skills so he convinced Dani to give Chef Zay a try by coming over for dinner. When Xavier asked Dani what she wanted him to cook, steak or lobster, she said both. Xavier realized she wasn’t going to make this easy so he went all-in preparing an entire surf and turf meal of lobster, steak and shrimp. It was at this point Dani realized Xavier just might be the one after all. After many more meals shared together, talks spent bonding over their relationships with their families and getting to know each other’s friends, their love for one another became undeniable. Now a few years later, they have become each other’s best friend, greatest teammate, and forever partner in life. They can’t wait to make it official and to be able to share their special day with all their family and friends.
