Dani and Tyler's connection began on a beautiful summer day at Quinn's Pond on June 11, 2021. Destiny brought them together as Tyler, who was roommates with one of Dani's sorority sisters, caught Dani's eye. A casual interaction initiated by Emily led to Dani and Tyler exchanging brief pleasantries, while Dani engaged in a more extended conversation with Emily for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, Tyler found himself engrossed in a light-hearted chat with Jenae. As they bid each other farewell, Dani confided in her friend Jenae about her attraction to Tyler, regretting not asking for his contact information. Unbeknownst to her, Tyler was harboring similar feelings. The following day, Tyler took a bold step and found Dani on Instagram, hitting the follow button in hopes of a connection. Despite waiting anxiously for a follow back that never came, Tyler didn't give up hope. Months passed until destiny intervened once again, this time on the dating app Hinge. Dani spotted Tyler's profile and gave him a like, leading to a joyful exchange of messages and the long-awaited invitation for a first date.

Tyler asked Danielle out pretty quickly, and they went on their first date on August 5, 2021. This wasn’t just any first date, it was an adventure to Blue Heart Springs (two hours from Boise). Although there were quite a few mishaps (Dani didn’t have a fin and paddles lol, it was a journey to find the starting point, and they never actually made it to Blue Heart Springs), they both had so much fun and enjoyed each others company. Then, they had to end the date with food and drinks back in town at the Yardhouse. Their first date was a total of 8 hours.
