We headed to Lindrith to check out the animals since we hadn’t been in a while. On our way there Ty asked me what shoes I was wearing because he wanted to stop and show me “Davis Rock”. Of course, I was wearing flip flops, but I said I would be fine (he didn’t tell me we would be hiking around). He pulls off the road, we get out and I’m waiting for him but he goes back to the truck and says “I better lock the doors." He never does that, so it should have been a clue, but what he was really doing was trying to figure out how to get the ring box in his pocket to where it wasn’t poking out. We started up the little hill and I’m a little grumpy because I was in flip flops and walking through sticker bushes, but I’m following behind Ty and he said what a nice day it was. I agreed and not even 10 seconds later he said it again. He was so nervous that he was repeating himself. Lol. That should have been another clue, but it’s Ty and I’m oblivious. I see the rock and start walking towards it, when Ty is going up a different way. He has this plan in his head, but I ruined it by saying “Why are you going that way, the rock is right here?” He plays it off and follows me and we start looking at all the names carved into this rock. It starts with his Great Grandparents and ends with him and his siblings. We go around to the other side looking and he says “I think there’s some more carvings over this way”, so I turn around and I’m following right behind him and all of the sudden he moves to the side and I’m standing in front of a rock with the carving “Dani will you marry me?”. Of course, when he went to the side, he got down on his knee and we both just stared at each other. I was waiting for him to say something and he was waiting for me to say something. I said “YES!!” of course, followed by “it’s about time!” haha just kidding. Then I was just in shock and kept asking how and when he had the time to do that and how he kept it a secret!! Best. Day. Yet.
