We're getting married!

After two of our best friends started dating, they decided to invite us on a blind double date. Two California rolls and a few Blackhawks games later, our relationship mimicked the success of the Hawks playoff run that summer!

During the summer of 2019, Dani and Scotty decided to move in together. Dani would leave her wonderful studio apartment in Lakeview to become a suburbanite with Scotty in Edison Park. What was supposed to be an exciting time together quickly turned into an unexpected challenge; Scotty was offered a hockey operations position with the Columbus Blue Jackets and learned he would be leaving at the end of the summer. After too many back and forth flights, Scotty knew it was time for them to start the next chapter of their life together. Although he was grateful for the opportunity to pursue a hockey career, he knew his heart was back home with Dani. On a weekend trip home in January, Scotty took Dani downtown to spend the day together. Little did Dani know, Scotty had recruited the likes of best man, Keenan, and Keenan’s dad, Tom, to covertly capture the moment. With the Chicago skyline behind them, Scotty and Dani walked through a beautiful snowy white Ping Tom Park in Chinatown where he got down on one knee and asked the question. After a resounding yes, they went to dinner at Sushi Doku where they first met 04.01.15 on their blind date. Afterward, family and friends surprised them back home where the celebrations rang into the morning hours!
