Tenderfoot Trail System
The Tenderfoot Trail System sits just across the river from downtown Salida on the slopes of “S-Mountain,” the hill marked by the iconic white S above town. These local favorite trails offer beautiful views of the Arkansas Valley and surrounding peaks, making it a perfect spot for hiking, biking, or catching a sunset over Salida.
Downtown Salida
Downtown Salida, Colorado is one of our favorite places to spend a slow afternoon. The historic streets are full of local shops, art galleries, and cozy spots to grab a drink or bite. It’s an easy place to wander—grab a coffee, pop into a few stores, and just enjoy the laid-back mountain town vibe. Don’t forget to take a stroll along the beautiful Arkansas River while you’re downtown. The riverside path is perfect for a relaxed walk, and you might even catch kayakers playing in the whitewater park right in the middle of town.
