Welcome to Tarbin Gardens, a hand-built, five-acre botanical garden. We offer a lifetime collection of plants, tropical greenhouses, and ponds. This creates a haven for butterflies, hummingbirds and our cats who roam the gardens. A beautiful place for a day out with friends, family or yourself, with fun for all ages. Enjoy a picnic on our patios or stretch out with a blanket on our lawns. We are a peaceful place, somewhere to escape and explore. We have the entire venue to ourselves and everyone is encouraged to explore!! There are 4 beautiful cats that roam around and also some farm animals you can say Hello to!
Family Photos
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Family please plan to arrive around 12:30pm for formal photos.
Note that it will be warm and potentially humid so you may want to bring a change of clothes for the Ceremony & Reception! There is a place to change on-site.
Ceremony
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm
We will gather in the Formal Garden for the Exchange of Vows at 2:00pm! Ladies : Cocktail/Garden Party Attire (Note that while there is an event tent the venue is mostly outdoors and it is a garden, so we recommend flats/sandals/shoes that are comfortable to walk in.) Gentlemen : Please wear a plain black T-shirt & black pants. We will be providing shoes & suspenders for group photos! (Please be sure to fill out your shoe size in the Google Doc tab!)
Reception
3:00 pm - 10:00 pm
The Reception will follow the Exhange of Vows and run from roughly 3:00pm - 10:00pm.
Bring your game face! There will be Yard Games (cornhole, bocce ball, croquet, jenga, etc) and various Board/Party Games to enjoy! The Grounds are beautiful and we also encourage everyone to mingle and wander the Garden as well! Further details on Reception Events and Schedule below!
Cocktail Hour
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Following the Exchange of Vows we will proceed to the Event Area for a Cocktail Hour including a "post-ceremony surprise".
Light snacks will be available starting at 3p (chips, pretzels, charcuterie board) as well as refreshments. Refreshments include: Coke, Ginger Ale, Spindrift Seltzer, Spirits, Beer, Red & White Wine, Champagne (for toasting & shaking and spraying in celebration). Please fill out the Google Doc if you have requests for types of beer or if you would like anything not mentioned (e.g. hard seltzers, plain soda water, etc.). DON'T BE SHY - we are BYOB-ing and want to customize to everyone's preferences!! We will also take some group photos at various locations in the Garden between 3:00-5:00pm.
Dinner
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Dinner will be served at 5pm, buffet style! Mains: Steak tips, chicken piccata, chicken with peppers and mozzarella. Ravioli with spinach and tomatoes for those of you with dietary considerations. Sides: Roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, and rolls & butter (All vegan friendly! Besides the butter of course.) Cake & coffee served afterwards.
Party Time!
6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Following Dinner everyone is encouraged to let loose and enjoy the various entertainment available!! We will be bumping some jams until 9:00pm so practice your Flossing and Crank Dat dances so we can all cut up the rug! Spencer will also be offering a dance tutorial to teach us How to Dougie! We will have various Yard Games and Board/Party games setup for folks to enjoy! Maybe run a Cornhole tournament? Giant game of Twice Around the Garden? We'll see where the evening takes us! And once again please feel free to explore the Garden at any time!
