We are tying the knot!

One day on her way to work, Dani decided to stop for breakfast at the local bagel shop, Bagel Heaven, which she had done before. This particular day however, she saw a really cute guy behind the counter. He was tall, wearing a blue baseball cap with great blue eyes underneath and a warm smile. Dani knew she must go back to see this bagel boy again. She stopped in a few more times and was given some valuable information by the owner’s best friend... this cute guy Dani kept eyeing was the owner’s SON! She knew she would need to keep going, and to her surprise her meals kept getting cheaper and cheaper! After a few weeks of small talk, on September 21, 2006 to be exact, Lee asked Dani out on a date. Some would say this was a match made in Bagel Heaven....

Lee knew that after 13 years, 5 kids, 2 dogs, and a house he was going to have to come up with something pretty amazing to catch Dani off guard and surprise her. He didn't disappoint. On one of his work trips in Seattle, his team went out for a team building event. During this event, the wheels started turning. Lee knew it would be perfect! Several months later, emphesis on several, Lee got Dani's best friend and Zac involved and put his plan in motion. On 10.17.19 Lee, Dani, their kids, and Dani's mother and step father all went to Escape LBI (an escape room). It was planned ahead of time, and Dani was looking forward to a fun night out. The object was to find the "Lost Jewel of Zanzibar" before the ruthless, dishonest Warlord. In order to do this, we needed to find the clues to escape from the first room to get into the next room where the jewel was located, of course after solving more puzzles. For those of you who don't know, Dani is incredibly competitive. She was in full game mode that night. They were all doing great and moving right along....passed the first room (although they took more time than they should have) and onto the next where they really started working like a team. Dani was on a role though and was super determined to find the jewel before time ran out. They solved the last clue and Dani goes over to the lockbox to open it..... inside she finds a wire that she must touch a magnet to. Dani did not realize that everyone else was just letting her do this and standing back- she was oblivious. She picks up the magnet, touches the wire, and across the room a cabinet door slides down. Eureka! Dani looks over and is overcome with joy until she realizes the jewel, a ruby, is NOT there. Where did she go wrong? Dani can see there is something there; a very sparkly something; but it is not a ruby. Dani looks at her notes and looks at the cabinet and looks at her notes again..... then she realizes Lee is down on bended knee in front of her!! She said Yes!
