Sometimes love takes the scenic route, but for Dani and Justin, it was always written in the stars. Dani and Justin first met over 15 years ago on the shores of Lake Erie at YMCA Camp Fitch. Dani was drawn to Justin’s fun-loving spirit, confidence and optimistic attitude. Justin was smitten by Dani’s beauty, intellect and captivating personality. Time and circumstances led them down different roads, but whenever their paths crossed, there was always a spark—an unspoken connection that drew them to each other. Whether it was a late-night chat around a campfire or finding each other on a dance floor, those moments always felt just a little different. In July of 2022 at Frog Song Music Festival, that quiet pull, and a little push from their friends, finally brought them together. What started as a simple reconnection quickly became something undeniable. Over time, their texts transitioned to daily calls, and their monthly trips increased to every weekend. Justin’s adventurous spirit pulled Dani out of her comfort zone—whether it was cliff jumping in Curacao or learning to ski as a very risk averse 30-something-year-old. But in September of 2024, Justin took a chance on love and moved from his hometown in Ohio to New York City to be with Dani. After moving in together, their love for each other continued to grow, and Justin knew that he wanted to make Dani his forever. On a cold February night at Holiday Valley Ski Resort, Justin proposed to his Florida girl in front of illuminated ski slopes. A very surprised Dani said “yes,” if we can get married somewhere warm.
