Jockeys Ridge
This place is a blast! Sand dunes as far as you can see. Take off your shoes and go for a hike, see views of the ocean and the sound. About a 20 minute drive from the venue and just down the road from outlet shopping and the Wright Brothers museum.
Scarborough Faire Shopping Village
Dani and her family grew up going to "the shops" each year. They are cute and quaint shops and restaurants that sell anything and everything you can imagine. Fudge and ice cream, bathing suits and tshirts, beach trinkets, home decor, jewelry and more! Within walking distance of other restaurants, shopping (The Cotton Gin, Kitty Hawk Kites, OBS Surf Shop, Farmer's Daughter, Wave Pizza and Duck Donuts). Outlets Nags Head
If you love shopping, there are Tanger Outlets in Nags Head. Gap, J. Crew, Banana Republic, Nautica, Ralph Lauren, Coach and more.
Duck Donuts
Home to the original Duck Donuts shop. There are also locations in Kitty Hawk and Nags Head.
Roanoke Island Festival Park
We will be getting married on the island at the festival park. However, there is more to see than just our venue space. There is a reconstructed period ship from the 1500s (no...we are NOT getting married on the ship....though apparently people do that). There is also an outdoor museum that teaches you about the history of Roanoke Island and the settlement site. We all know Justice loves history.
Sea Scape Golf Links
This golf course is smack in the middle of the Outer Banks. Reasonable greens fees for the Outer Banks. Duck Woods, Nags Head Golf Links and many more are also great depending on where you are staying.
