Juliana and Daniel crossed paths thanks to a dating app called Hinge during a cold November in 2019. Juliana was very impressed by Daniel's pictures and sent him a "like" Daniel showed mutual interest and decided to message her. After having daily text conversations for almost 2 months, Juliana and Daniel finally had the opportunity to meet in person. The date was January 5th, 2020, Juliana and Daniel met at a coffee shop. Over tea, coffee, and delicious pastries they realized they had common interests such as the outdoors, traveling, and Dragonball-Z, but didn't really agree on politics- this didn't stop Daniel from asking Juliana on a second date. The timing couldn't have been better since the pandemic started just 2 months after that first date. The rest is history, over the past 3 years Juliana and Daniel have seen different countries, hiked multiple mountains, and shared many special moments together. Juliana and Daniel are thankful for everyone who has been part of this journey and are very excited to have their families and closest friends join them in May as they celebrate their marriage and the beginning of a new adventure.

Daniel planned a long weekend for 4th of July with some of his and Juliana's friends to the Adirondacks. As a lot of you know, Juliana and Daniel are very active hikers and love to explore. Juliana always dreamed of getting proposed to on top of a mountain so Daniel made it a priority to make this dream come true. The day was July 2nd, 2022, Juliana was feeling sick and groggy after a sleepless night and the effects of NyQuil the night before. Many signs were present that this would be the day but she was clueless, the only thing she pointed out was Daniel's funny hiking outfit. With a ring in Daniel's pocket and a bottle of champagne in Nick's backpack the group started to hike up Giant Mountain. They had seen videos of this hike but they did not expect this hike to be so challenging. After reaching the top Daniel, Nick, and Mike scoped the area for an open space with less people, the spot they found was on the other side and required more walking- Juliana feeling exhausted was refusing to get up. After trying several times to get Juliana to move she finally gave in. Once they got to the spot and several pictures later Daniel got on one knee and took out the ring. Juliana was crying in disbelief, but ultimately, she said OF COURSE!
