Joel and Dani matched on Bumble just before Christmas in 2020. Dani loved Joel's self proclaimed ability to dance like a wacky wavy inflatable tube arm man and Joel loved Dani's incredible eyes and smile. After the first date, they both enraptured with each other. Shortly after meeting, Joel helped Dani through a car accident and buying a new car. After seeing her credit score, Joel decided she was the one for him and asked her to officially be his girlfriend. Soon after, Joel went on a business trip for 3 weeks and Dani could not believe how much she missed him. When Dani picked Joel up from the airport, they had a race to see who could say "I love you" first. Joel won, but just barely. Dani and Joel soon met each other's families. Joel was the first serious boyfriend Dani ever brought home and her dad only threatened him with violence a few times. Dani's nieces were initially skeptical of this man that their Aunt Dani brought to meet them, but soon proclaimed him their Uncle Joel, the giver of piggy back rides. Dani met all the Marys at once when she and Joel went to his cousin's wedding. Joel's family could all immediately tell how happy they were together. Over their year and a half of dating, Joel and Dani faced many months apart due to their work travel schedules, but still made time for each other every day and made their relationship a priority. Though the separations were difficult, it made the reunions and the time together all the more special. Once the travel obligations were over, Joel and Dani celebrated by taking a vacation to Greece in July 2022 where they decided to never be apart again. When Joel proposed, Dani couldn't say yes fast enough... nor could she remember which hand was her left hand. Since then, they have built a home together with their dog Kingsley and cat Luna. At different points in their lives, both Joel and Dani thought they might never get married or find a partner they wanted to spend their lives with, but now they can't imagine life without the other. They are each others puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together. This wedding is the beginning of the rest of their lives. Next stop: anywhere.
