We met while working together at Growler USA, a craft beer restaurant. We got to know each other and connected on several hobbies etc. over the course of a few months and planned to hang out outside of work. Our first date was at JD’s Bait Shop where we played shuffleboard, darts, and pool. Our friend Heather tagged along and told Hayden that Dani was really interested in him. Hayden took that information and ran with it! On Valentine’s Day, we worked together at Growler. Dani had to close that night so Hayden left early to set up a surprise for her including flowers, a card, and toy for Daphne! The rest was history…

On February 27th, 2021 Hayden's roommate and girlfriend (Bobby and Amanda) invited us to go skate with them at Keystone lake for a day date. Dani thought, "Hmmm I wonder if Hayden might propose today..." but after seeing him act normal, she decided it probably wasn't happening. It was a slightly chilly, windy, overcast day in the mountains. We got dressed and headed for the ice. After skating around for a bit, we headed towards the main area of the lake. Hayden and Bobby were trying to give Dani pointers on how to hockey stop. Bobby had gotten Dani's attention as Hayden got into position. As Dani looked back towards Hayden, he had an opened ring box and was down on one knee!! Hayden said how happy he was and how he remembered meeting Dani at Growler USA. He went on to talk about all the fun things they had experienced together and asked Dani to spend the rest of her life with him. SHE SAID YES! Our closest Colorado friends were there to celebrate with us and it was an amazing day!
