I met Tori almost 20 years ago during summer league swimming. We were heated rivals from the start; but ended up becoming the best of friends. She is the most loyal of friends and I can always count on her to be there for me. Tori and I know each other better than almost anyone in our lives. I met Parker back in middle school when she moved to Fredericksburg, VA. She has been by my side ever since; through distance and all. Parker always goes above and beyond for her friends and I’m lucky that she is one of mine. Some of my most memorable high school moments are with her and I can’t wait for her to be a bridesmaid.

Kristin and I “officially” met at one of my favorite bars about 3 years ago. (Boxcar) I bonded with her so quickly and she’s been my best gal in Raleigh ever since. Her boyfriend David is also a best friend of mine and one of Gus’s groomsmen! Kristin is kind, thoughtful, and always picks up the phone when I call. I can’t wait to have her stand by me on our day!

I have been Tucker’s older brother as long as he has been alive and believe me, he came into this world swinging. I know that he will always have my back and I am honored to bare a tattoo that shows that I will too. While at first glance we may appear to be nothing alike, get us together and you can tell we are of the same clan. His resilience, intelligence and ability to be cool without trying are just some of the things I admire about him. It wouldn’t be a true Valhallan wedding if I didn’t have a modern day Viking at my side.

While he is my younger brother by three years, I find myself looking up to him more and more. He has built himself a beautiful family and I admire and take pride in the man he has become. He will do whatever is needed for those he loves, it is a trait that is often cited but rarey earned and the reason I am proud share ink with him. I had the great honor of being Jake’s best man four and a half years ago, and I am very lucky to have him by my side for my big day.

I can’t recall the exact moment we met, or when it was we became friends, all I know is that I will be forever grateful it happened. He quickly became my best friend and I owe him so much. The memories I have from serving as soccer co-captains with him our senior year are some of my fondest. We don’t always see each other as much as we would like, but when we do get together, we pick right back up where we left off. I was a groomsmen at his wedding and I am honored he will be at mine. After sixteen years, he still laughs at my jokes, now that is a true friend.

He is the friend anyone would be lucky to have. He puts his full energy into everything and everyone he holds dear. Our friendship began as we struggled through freshman year computer science and we have only grown closer in the years following college. You will never find a more loyal friend and he has been a main reason for the success of our annual “bro weekends”. I was honored to be by his side when he got married and he has recently bestowed upon me a tremendous honor by naming me as a godfather to one of his soon to be born twins.

He has played many roles in my life over the years, latin tutor, teammate, ice cream date, roommate, best friend and confidant. He is one of the most supportive people I know and I can’t imagine how I would have survived college without him. We met over a game in Madden our freshmen year of college, the validity of the final score is still being debated to this day. I was honored to stand by his side the day he married his best friend and I am so thankful he will be with me as I do the same.

He has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know, he would give you the shirt off his back. We met the first week of college and we have been fast friends ever since. From the countless basketball games, madden franchises and roommates, I have so many fond memories with Mr. Hazel. I have been trying to cover this man in flag football for over ten years now and I still can’t figure out how to keep up. I was by his side when he got married and it wouldn’t be right if he wasn’t be mine.

I have known DJ for some years now but it wasn’t until we both found ourselves relocated to Raleigh that we became great friends. He is one of the most passionate, genuine and caring people I know and he always has me laughing. You can find us regularly watching football from the unstable bar stools at Woody’s or scarfing down hot dogs at the Cardinal. At the end of the day however, DJ is the guy I turn to when I need to vent or need advice.

I met Nate on my first day working for Wells Fargo, he was actually the one who trained me. Little did I know he would become one of my good friends, roommates, carpool buds and a guy you want in your corner. They don’t make guys like Nate anymore, he taught me how to change my oil, brakes and that you never lend a hand expecting something in return. Even after all this, I have a lot left to learn from Nate. I can’t wait to have him stand by my side on our day.
