Question

Do I need to get tested for COVID-19 when traveling to and from Puerto Rico?

Answer

Fully vaccinated passengers on domestic flights NO LONGER need a negative COVID-19 test to enter Puerto Rico. Negative COVID-19 tests are only required for passengers arriving on international flights and those who have not been fully vaccinated; a negative antigen test will also be accepted for these travelers. You DO NOT need a COVID-19 test to return from Puerto Rico to mainland USA. If you are returning to other countries, you must follow your country's guidelines.

Question

What documentation do I need to enter Puerto Rico?

Answer

All persons entering Puerto Rico must fill out a Travel Declaration Form on the PR Health Department's online portal, which produces a QR code to proceed. Passengers need to present ID matching the Travel Declaration Form. We suggest you fill out this form before your flight, to expedite your arrival process in Puerto Rico. Here's the website to access the online portal: www.travelsafe.pr.gov

Question

Do I need to bring my vaccination card to the wedding?

Answer

Yes! To enter the hotel, you need your vaccination card and an ID, but a picture on your phone works just fine for both. We suggest you bring a photo of your vaccination card, and leave your physical card at your hotel so you don't lose it! Make sure you have that picture on your phone at all times in Puerto Rico, as well as an ID, because a lot of establishments require it.

Question

Can I come to the wedding if I am NOT vaccinated?

Answer

To protect our family and guests, and to comply with Puerto Rico guidelines regarding COVID-19 protocols for parties, our wedding will be for fully vaccinated guests only.

Question

Where can I upload my vaccination card?

Answer

Once you are fully vaccinated, you can copy and paste this URL to fill out the vaccination form and upload a picture of your vaccination card: https://forms.gle/w4eneHcqovxKcgUZ6

Question

Can I remove my mask at the wedding?

Answer

You need to wear your mask to enter the hotel, and to walk around the hotel. When you reach the second floor, where our ceremony and reception will take place, you may remove your mask.

Question

What are the current protocols for COVID-19 in Puerto Rico?

Answer

Masks are required when you are indoors and outside when in a large group of people. If you are sitting down at a restaurant and wish to use the restroom, you must put on your mask in order to walk to the restroom and back. All establishments that offer food require their employees and guests to be vaccinated. Have a picture of your vaccination card handy, as well as an ID. If a guest is not vaccinated, they must provide a 72 hrs or less PCR test. Establishments that do not comply with the executive order must reduce their capacity to 50%.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The wedding is Black Tie. Tuxedos for men, long dresses for women. Here are some examples: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1dqdUvl5_j9heCCFSM2OZzobUlMn3QUrLV4-pYph1Uy4/edit?usp=sharing

Question

Where can I rent my tuxedo?

Answer

For the gentlemen interested in renting your tuxedos for the wedding, you may do so through Leonardo 5th Avenue (Registry #22863), where you will receive a discount. Make your reservation as soon as you can, to ensure that your order may be filled on time. If you are in Puerto Rico, you may visit any Leonardo store to have your measurements taken. If you are not in Puerto Rico, please contact Miguel Quiñones, store manager at the Santurce store, at 787-908-5517 or at mquinones@l5a.com, and he will provide you with instructions to place your order online to be picked up upon your arrival in Puerto Rico. Don’t forget to use our registry number to get your discount. Note: The store is closed on Sundays and Mondays. So, if you leave PR before Tuesday, make sure you leave your tuxedo at the designated area at the Vanderbilt on Sunday, and we will return it for you. Don't forget to include all items on the garment bag, and also your paperwork so we know who each belongs to.

Question

What does #seacaboladistancia mean?

Answer

#seacaboladistancia means “the distance is over” in Spanish. For Gio and I, it meant the end of our long-distance relationship after I got back to Puerto Rico. Now, it has a second and special meaning as social distancing is coming to an end. Get ready for a double celebration!
