Our favorite-ever Italian restaurant! Fun fact: Dani worked here for a hot second right before the pandemic. Bring the whole fam and get the beets & avocado, escarole soup, fennel salad, eggplant parm, gnocchi, cavatelli, prunes & mascarpone, cheesecake.....you pretty much can't go wrong. If you encounter a wait, check for space next door at Franks-same owners and some of the same menu items.
The Commodore
Great bar food, affordable drinks, in a saloon-type setting.
La Superior
Hole in the wall serving classic Mexican street food. Cash-only. Gare says to get the esquites.
Brooklyn Bowl
Live music venue. Family-friendly. Food, drinks, bowling=fun times.
McCarren Park
For some fresh air! Lovely park in the middle of Williamsburg/Greenpoint. Catch Dani on a run or better yet, join her!
Grand Army
Do it for the oysters! We had some our best dates and took some of our best pictures here. A gem.
Death & Co East Village
Fancy-schmancy cocktail bar serving light bites in the East Village. Amazingly curated cocktails, great staff, an "experience" as they say.
Pebble Bar
Google calls it a "cocktail bar in a storied Rockefeller Center townhouse" but all we care about is visiting and berating our dear friend, head bartender, minor celebrity, major weirdo, Tim Sweeney. He's kinda the best and makes the shit out of a cocktail! ....Like he doesn't turn the drink into shit...you get it, go see him.
