Colt & I (Dani, who’s telling the story because we all know Colt does not like writing) met in sixth grade by fate. I had just recently switched schools, and was put into Mrs. Law’s sixth grade class. Colt was in Mr. Brubaker’s sixth grade class. We probably would have never gotten to be best friends if it weren’t for the fact that LaFontaine Elementary had to move their sixth graders to Southwood Elementary, making all the classes get switched around and a new teacher be brought in to accommodate for all the new students. In that switch, Colt and I got put into the same classroom. After that it was history, we became best friends over arguing which color of tractor was better. We stayed best friends through doing 4-H and FFA throughout junior high together, and somehow found ourselves in Mrs. Kirby’s study hall together every year. We spent countless hours together every fair helping one another with animals, eating lots of ice cream and tenderloins, and just enjoying one another’s company. Our 8th grade year of high school, Colt asked me to be his girlfriend, and of course I said yes! He was my favorite person to be around and never failed to make me laugh. We stayed together all through high school, accomplished countless tasks together and apart, and grew together as people. We both graduated from the same high school, graduated college at the same time, and have decided its time to tie the knot, and make this our forever.
