Despite spending four years on the same campus, including 1 year in the same building, Dani and Cam only managed to meet the day after Cam graduated RIT, on May 21, 2017. Rachel Baumgarten, whom Cam knew from the rugby family, and Dani knew from her degree, got together a group of friends at Beer Market in Rochester, where they met for the first time. They continued seeing each other over the next month, when Cam got a job offer in CT. They decided to keep seeing each other long-distance for the next year until Dani got her degree and also moved to CT in May 2018. They shared an apartment in Old Saybrook, until they bought their house in Madison, CT in March 2021. They adopted their dog, Levi, on March 30, 2020. He remains crazy to this day.
