We officially met on 4th of July weekend around 5 years ago at the Bridgeport Lake. We both knew who each other were but had never been introduced. We were at a lake party with friends, when Cade was dared to throw me in the water. Cade was a gentleman and thankfully did not throw me in the lake. After that day, he actually swept me off of my feet and we started spending all of our time together. The rest is history!

I was in Lincoln completing my Master's Degree and Cade was working in Bridgeport for 21st Century. My friend Emmy invited me to go to drinks one Sunday evening. When we were driving to the restaurant, Emmy missed the turn. I was confused at the time, until I realized that she was taking me to a different place. As we pulled into the parking lot, I saw Cade's car and knew that he was going to propose. I walked out to an open field, where there was a heart made out of rose petals on the ground. Cade surprised me and then got down on one knee. It was an amazing day I will never forget! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Ogallala!
