Ben and I have known each other since we were very young, but we first became friends when I needed a date to prom so I could watch Rachel get crowned prom queen. As a sophomore, I wasn't allowed to go to prom unless I was asked by a junior or senior. Todd talked to Ben and he agreed to take me to prom. That is when our friendship started. Mike and Ben invited me to go hunting with them and after that we all started hanging out more and more. I invited Rachel to one of our outings and the four of us became great friends. Ben and I grew closer and closer and then decided to take the leap and start dating. Since then, we have had 10 years of adventures. Between hikes, fishing, hunting, skydiving, shark diving, we are always looking for our next adventure. We have made it through years of long distance, before ending up moving back to the Catskills. We purchased some land, and are starting our journey of building our future home. The day after our 10 year anniversary, we were able to celebrate by going up on the hill to our future home site to watch the sunset. We laughed and drank cider, watching the sunset. Ben asked me to dance and set up his phone to "try to get a cool video of the sunset". After dancing until it was nearly dark, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him...and I said YES!
