What is a Nikah ceremony?

Nikah is the religious ceremony required by Islamic law to unite a Muslim man and woman in holy matrimony. For both Danial and Akila, its important to honor our traditional backgrounds as we begin our lives together.

What is the attire?

Answer

Formal or semi-formal attire is requested. Men are welcome to wear blazers, suits, or suitable desi clothing. Women are welcome to wear dresses, desi or other formal cultural attire.

What food options will be available?

Answer

Halal food will be served featuring a variety of dishes including a limited selection of vegetarian/vegan dishes. Please reach out if you have any specific food allergies or concerns. And tea and dessert will of course be served.
