A few weeks before we met, Luis was in a car accident. Nothing too serious, thankfully, but serious enough that he needed a new car. And that’s how he ended up at Centereach Hyundai. He walked in, cool as ever, and introduced himself as " You can call me Tall, dark and Handsome." (Confidence? Check.) I helped him find the perfect car, and somewhere between the paperwork and the final signature, there was this spark. I joked about going out to dinner. I was probably flirting just a little. I even gave him my number, more playfully than anything else. But not long after he drove off the lot, my phone buzzed. It was him, asking me out to dinner. I panicked. I didn’t know what to say! So I did what any girl would do. I called my best friend, Laura. She said, “Well, what are you doing tonight?” I told her, “Babysitting Duke,” my dog. She said, “Girl, stop playing and go!” And… I did. That dinner turned into something more. That one text turned into this whole life we’re building. From a totaled car to a total surprise. who knew selling a car would lead to finding my person?! And now, our story is growing in the most beautiful way. We’re beyond excited to be expecting our first child together our son, Noah Joseph Valdes. What started as a chance meeting has turned into a love story, a partnership, and now a family.
