Will you be having an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We would love to have an unplugged ceremony. We ask that you experience this portion of the day without distractions from cell phones and allow our photographers to capture this precious moment. Please feel free to take pictures at the reception.

What time should I arrive for the events?

Answer

Ceremony arrival: 1:30pm, will begin promptly at 2:00pm Reception arrival: 5:00pm, will begin promptly at 5:00pm

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, formal attire, please.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be plenty of free parking at both events.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No, but there are transportation options available in the area, such as Uber or Lyft.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Answer

No, the ceremony will be held at St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugar Land, and the reception will be held at The Orchard at Caney Creek in Wharton.

Will the reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both. We will serve dinner inside and the dance floor will be outdoors on the back porch of the venue.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The bride and groom will take photos with immediate family. There will be approximately 1.5 hours in between the ceremony and reception. Please see the “Things To Do” page for more details.

Can I take and post pictures on social media?

Yes! We encourage our guests to take pictures at the reception only. Our request is that you help share them to our Google wedding album (QR code provided at reception).

How do I get to the reception from the church? (40 min drive)

Answer

From church, merge onto 59 South for 35 miles Exit FM 102/Wharton/Eagle Lake Turn right on FM 102 N (next to Buc-ee’s) Drive 1/2 mile, turn right on CR 235/Owens Rd Drive 1 mile, turn left into Orchard at Caney Creek
