Answer

Formal/semi formal attire! A dress or a suit or a button up shirt and dress pants! Any colour or lenght that makes you feel your best!. Bring your dancing shoes too! / Traje formal / semi formal!. Un vestido o un traje, o una camisa de botones con pantalones formales!. Cualquier color o largo en el que te sientas más cómodo/a y te sientas mas guapo/a. No olvides traer zapatos para bailar!

Your presence is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to honour the birthday girl with a gift, a cash gift will be very welcome and appreciated. / Tu presencia es el mejor de los regalos! Pero si quieres honrar a la cumpleañera con un regalo, se apreciaría mucho lluvia de sobres!

Is there on-site parking? / ¿Dónde estacionar?

Answer

Ubering will be best so you can have fun without worrying!. However, if you wish to drive, there is parking on site. It is important, however, to please confirm the driver's name and vehicle's license plate on the RSPV form, (or give it directly to Daniela) at least two days before the party. (It's the building's policy) / Lo mas recomendable es tomar un Uber para poder divertirse sin preocupaciones. Pero si deseas traer tu carro, hay estacionamiento en el edificio. Por favor es importante confirmar el nombre del conductor y placa del vehículo y ponerlo en el formulario de RSPV o darle esta información directamente a Daniela al menos dos días antes de la fiesta. (Es requerido por la administracion del edificio).

I'm Colombian! Children are always welcomed at parties. Didn't we all grow up going to our parents parties and sleeping on a make-shift bed made up of 2 chairs and jackets once we were too tired to keep dancing? LOL. If you like to bring your small children you are welcomed to do so. Please let Daniela know so she can add them to the list. / Soy Colombiana! Los niños pequeños nunca son excluidos de las fiestas. ¿No nos criamos todos yendo a las fiestas de nuestros papás y durmiendo entre dos sillas con chaquetas cuando ya no podíamos bailar más? Jajaja. Si quieres traer a tus hijos pequeños lo puedes hacer con mucho gusto. No más dile a Daniela y ella los agreagrá a a lista

Can I bring a plus one or an additional person? / ¿Puedo traer un acompañante o persona adicional?

Unfortunately no. Due to limited space this is an invite-only event. The only exception are small children. / Desafortunadamente no. Debido al espacio limitado, este es un evento en donde se requiere invitación personal. La única excepción son los niños pequeños.

A girl who is having her 15th birthday is called a Quinceañera. It is a combination of the Spanish words quince "fifteen" and años "years". A girl's 15th birthday party is referred to as a "fiesta de quince años/quinces" or "fiesta de quinceañera." As I moved to Canada at 14, I never had the chance to have a big Quinces party. My 30th Birthday seemed like the perfect excuse to make my dream come true in a way! To have a double quinces (15x2) where I could be celebrating my heritage, dress up and have fun with all my favourite people seemed like the best way to start this new decade. / Al mudarme a Canada a los 14 años, nunca tuve la oportunidad de celebrar mis Quinces en grande. Mi cumpleaños número 30 era la excusa perfecta para poder cumplir este sueño de alguna manera. Are you doing any of the Quinces Traditions? / ¿Vas a hacer algunas de las tradiciones de Quinces?

No! The only one I would be doing is wear a ridiculously shiny/big dress that i wouldn't have the chance to wear any other way!. That's already a lot. I think it would be wayyyy to cheesy to do any of the other ones.... or maybe there will be a suprise or two... / No! Solo ponerme un vestido muy brillante que no podría ponerme en otra ocasión!. Ya con eso es suficiente. Creo que seria ya demasiado cursi hacer las otras tradiciones... o tal vez habrá una que otra sorpresa....
