FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 25th so that we can give our caterer an accurate count for dinner.

Question

I’m having trouble RSVPing! What should I do?

Answer

Please contact Danielle or Evan and we would be happy to help.

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

Think Sunday best (or semi-formal if that’s more helpful). Given that the ceremony is in a Catholic church, we suggest that the ladies opt for modest necklines and hem lengths near the knee. Ties are suggested for the gentlemen. So long as you don’t wear white or sweatpants, we won’t judge!

Question

Will we need to pay for parking?

Answer

No, parking is free both at the church and the Crowne Plaza. If you need transportation, East Lansing is a college town with a thriving Uber/Lyft setup.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive by 1:15 so that everyone can be seated by 1:30.

Question

Is your wedding child-free?

Answer

We are excited to have children at the ceremony and reception so long as they are listed on your invite! St Thomas does have a “cry room” for any children who might get fussy.

Question

Is your wedding inside or outside?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be inside and air conditioned!

Question

Is your ceremony unplugged?

Answer

While we ask that you refrain from pictures during the ceremony so that our photographer can get pretty (and phoneless) pictures, please take plenty of pictures during the reception!

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

We will take family pictures in the church and then the bridal party will head out to take pictures. While we’re taking pictures, feel free to explore Lansing! It’s about a 20 minute drive to the hotel and they will be happy to start serving drinks and hors d’oeurves for Happy Hour at 4:30.

Question

Will there be alcohol at the reception?

Answer

Yes! Drinks are on us, but please make sure to bring cash to tip the bartenders :)
