As fate would have it, we met on vacation in Cancun only to return home and realize we were neighbors! Jonathan was on a trip celebrating a close mutual friend of Danet's dad Frank- shoutout to Albert! By the time Danet arrived to Cancun with her best friend, her family had spent 3 days with Jonathan and they allll expressed to her that they may be a good match! We met for the very first time at a restaurant and the second our eyes met we both felt like magnets that need to be next to one another. Sparks flew on that trip, and Jonathan made it a point to schedule a date back home later that week. Our very first date is when we realized we had been living one block away from each other for years... it only took Jonathan about 2 minutes to arrive after Danet sent the address which she definitely had immediate questions about (lol). A defining moment happened that night right before dinner. Danet made the bold decision to ask Jonathan if he'd be comfortable saying a quick a prayer before dinner (not very common on first dates these days but faith is very important to her). That is the moment Jonathan says he knew she was the one. That night we spent 7 hours together; talking, laughing, and letting it sink in that this was... different. From that first date on July 7, 2023 to now, we have been inseparable. A million little moments added up in just the right way for it to be undeniable that we are meant for each other. It's true- love finds you when you least expect it! We are now wholeheartedly believers in the cheesy saying "When you know, you KNOW!". If we had to describe our love to a stranger, we'd say it is our greatest gift. We cannot wait to official enter into our covenant, officially become husband and wife, and eventually start a family anchored in love.
