Our Story

2009

It all started at Temple University. I was in pre-calculus class, There was a question on the board and me and this really annoying guy were fighting over the answer. I was right (as you all know). Me and this annoying guy started talking after class. We bonded over our similar taste in music, our major, and our weird personalities. Over the years, we grew closer and became close friends. We planned classes, laughed, and vented to each other. It was a great friendship. Although, I saw this guy as nothing more than a friend, everyone knew there was more to our story than a friendship. We started dating after his admission to medical school (surprise! right?). About a year into the relationship, we knew this was serious. We went into this relationship knowing each other very well and grew comfortable very quickly. We moved in together in our one bedroom apartment in south Philly. I came back from Greece, and was very busy with my new job, I had no idea what was coming my way. He made reservations to Del Friscos one night and said we HAVE to go to Temple so he can give something to his friend. Naturally, he was running late, and I was very hangry. He took me to the Bell Tower on Temples campus where we met up for lunches and our relationship grew stronger. We met up with his friend and I wanted a picture of us since we had history there. I turn around and he's on one knee expressing his love for me. The first thing that came out of my mouth was "shut the f*** up!" I was so surprised, I did not even hear a word that came out of his mouth. He stopped talking and said "ok...can you say yes?" Still in shock, I replied "do my parents know about this? I am shocking! Didn't i say yes?" It appeared as though the only person that was surprised with this proposal was me! He did well! Here we are, years later, planning our wedding and living life the best we can. It all started with this one annoying guy in pre-calc class.
