The King County Fair is going on the week/weekend of the wedding and is a good time for all ages. Pretty standard fair with all the delicious food, rides, animals, some rodeo events, and more. Feel free to check it out with any free time you may have!
The park is open to drive though, but the main destinations will need reservations. You MUST have reservations to get into Paradise or Sunrise between 7am-5pm. If you go before or after that time frame without reservations - the Park Rangers will let you in. IT IS WILDFLOWER SEASON! Head to Tipsoo Lake for guaranteed views of the mountain, trails, and FLOWERS!
THE BEST VIEW OF RAINIER OUTSIDE OF THE NATIONAL PARK. There is a restaurant at the top where you can get lunch or dinner and enjoy the view. There are also picnic tables for those of you who choose to pack your own lunch and drinks. There are trails for minimal hiking. Henskin lake being a point of interest for an alpine swimming session.
5 min from venue. Nice walking trail along the river.
Family friendly walking trails, river access.
Take a short but steep hike on a wide trail to visit two lakes in a beautiful craggy setting. It's only three miles to the upper lake, with 2,300 feet of elevation gain. In season find many wildflowers in the basin near the upper lake, and be alert for wildlife sightings.
The Green River Gorge Resort also offers parking, short hikes for access to the river but the trails and in some places stairs are steep and can be very slippery in wet conditions.
The Market operates consecutive Saturdays from May through October at the Maple Valley Legacy Site, 25719 Maple Valley Black Diamond Road SE. The Market is open from 9 AM to 2 PM each Saturday in season.
